As writers, Jackie Anderson and Ciara Wild are not quite as likely to be found in front of the camera as behind a screen, keyboard at their fingertips, but on 16th July 2024 that was all turned around by Gabriel Anselmi and his team of French film students who travelled all the way from Marseille to London to film a documentary about the notorious Whitechapel murders. Having read "Myth Monster Murderer" by Anderson and Wild, the film-makers were intrigued by the crimes and the lives of the victims and the people of East London in the late Victorian period. As part of their documentary, they filmed an interview with Jackie and Ciara, in a studio just a few hundred yards from where the murders took place.
