It all began with a passion for reading. Books became Jackie’s favourite things, the bookshelves were her go-to place, the library her happy place. It was a very short step to move on from reading stories to writing them, from reciting poetry to drafting her own poems.

“I’m not sure I know why I write or why I wanted to be a writer. I just do. It’s a compulsion; I simply have to write” says Jackie.
